Final Fantasy VII Citadel Works

A catalogue of articles, pages, and other ephemera I've done for the FF7 Citadel. This doesn't cover everything; only what I believe to be my most interesting contributions.

Guides and FAQs
  • A Guide to FF7 Collectables - Written before I became Webmaster of the Citadel. I'm an avid collector of Final Fantasy goods—FF7 in particular—and wrote this piece to share what I had learned since I started my collection. This piece was also hosted on The Blue Shinra Project for a time.
  • FF7 (PC) FMV Guide - I needed a list that matched FMV file names to descriptions, so I decided to write it as an FAQ that I could share with everyone.
  • Turtle's Paradise Newsletters - Drawing largely from the page on said newsletters that I wrote for the FFWiki, I put together this little guide.
  • Wall Market Guide - Running around Wall Market in order to get crossdressing gear for Cloud has always been one of my favorite parts of FF7. I put this guide together to demonstrate the strategy needed in order for Cloud to get picked as Don Corneo's love monkey du nuit.
  • Chocobo Square - Listed under the main Gold Saucer page, this guide covers just about every aspect of Chocobo Racing.
  • Bestiary - The single largest guide I have done for the Citadel to date, this is simply a comprehensive listing of every monster, boss, and type of chocobo that can be found in FF7.

Page Additions
  • Compilation of FFVII section - Probably my largest single addition to the Citadel since becoming Webmaster. One of the reasons I took over the site was because I was dismayed by the complete lack of updates when Advent Children and Before Crisis were first announced. Naturally, I made coverage of these new spinoffs a priority. Final note: originally, each spinoff (before Crisis Core was announced) had their own section in the main site menu.
  • Press Clippings section - This section came about due to the overcrowding of "Game Information". Along with the press releases (a subsection which I started), I lumped in a number of other pages featuring materials gathered from outside, legitamate press sources.
  • Submission Policies - Long overdue, IMHO. Pretty stringent, but I believe it's the best way to cut down on the bullshit.
  • Final Fantasy VII Discography - Another long-overdue page.
  • FFVII Technical Demo for the PS3 - A page with information about the opening FMV remake done as a PS3 tech demo for E3 2005.
  • Final Fantasy VII Name Origins - I combined previous pages about the Loveless play, Norse mythology, and the origin of Sephiroth's name, took the bit about Biggs and Wedge from the Misc. Cameos page, then added lots more info to create this listing.
  • Itadaki Street Special - A game that was announced either during or after my revamping of the Citadel. At the time, Cloud and Tifa were known to be appearing in this game (Aerith and Sephiroth's cameos were unveiled later), so I created a page about it.
  • Buried in the Programming - Taking one old page and renaming it (Hidden Key Items) and adding on three new ones (The "Red Man" in the Desert Prison, Giant-Sized Aeris, and Secret Bonus Track), I created this subsection of Secrets & Mysteries devoted entirely to hidden elements in FF7 that can only be found by using hacks.
  • Final Fantasy Tactics - A long-delayed addition to the site since the ChibiTaryn era, I ended up being the one to write it (after setbacks of my own).
  • Final Fantasy VII Demo Versions - Mainly done to satiate my own curiousity, I hunted down various demos for the game and posted my findings about them here.
  • The Letters in Tifa's Room - A page compiling the three letters that can be found in Tifa's room in Nibelheim.
