Compilation of Final Fantasy VII

This is our new section dedicated to all of the different parts that make up the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, Square-Enix's multimedia collection of works set in the Final Fantasy VII universe. Note that due to the lack of information about Crisis Core, we don't yet have any pages on that game. For the latest news on the Compilation, you may want to check out the huge "Advent Children thread" in the Final Fantasy Discussion area of the Forums, where new details are announced on a regular basis.

Special note: I would like to remind readers that there are SPOILERS contained within these pages.

Compilation of FFVII Press Release | The Compilation's Titles

On September 25, 2003, some information was leaked regarding new projects that Square-Enix would be unveiling at the then-upcoming Tokyo Game Show. The title which caused the most stir and excitement was a direct-to-DVD movie called Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. The FFVII community hasn't been the same since.

Please note that at this time we are no longer accepting new plot-related information about Advent Children, as we wish to avoid any more spoilers; however, you may continue to submit theories (based only on information we already have), screening dates, and other stuff.

Before Crisis logo

A few months after the announcement of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, the second entry in the "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII" was announced. This new project was a mobile phone game titled Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII. This prequel features the Turks as playable characters, and introduces new faces in both the Turks and AVALANCHE.

Before Crisis was released in Japan on September 24, 2004. At this time, it is scheduled to be released in the US for the Nokia NGage sometime in the third quarter of 2005.

Dirge of Cerberus logo

In the Summer of 2004, Square-Enix hinted at a third entry in the "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII", namely a PS2 game starring Vincent Valentine. It was not until September of that same year that the first images from this new project, now officially known as Dirge of Cerberus, were revealed.

Warning!
