The battles have just begun again. Reno is picking off Ninja while they are talking) Saber: They'll be coming for her. Rude: And we'll be waiting. Saber: Hehe..We could use her as bait, chances are if they see her they'll start running. Take 'em out from the trees. (Saber walks into the hut and sees what is happening. Taryn is recovering and begins to walk.) Taryn: Oww.. (Saber walks back to the group. A Ninja charges towards the Turks. Rude punches him and Reno smashes him with his Cattle Prod.) Saber: ... Elena: Ah. Blood's on my face. Saber: ...We gotta do something. (Saber walks back into the hut and tells the doctor to let Taryn go. She walks away and heads towards a hill.) Saber: Rude come with me. We'll follow her. Rude: What about the plan? Saber: Forget bloodshed. (Saber and Rude stealthily follow Taryn. The two have to fight off few Ninja on the way. Suddenly a group of men heads towards Taryn. Jung is in the lead. Saber and Rude dive behind a hut and begin watching.) Jung: Taryn! Are you ok? Taryn: Yes. Blue Shinra and an AVALANCHE member helped me. Jung: What? We must go back to port immediately. (The men continue towards the port. Saber and Rude follow.) ---------- Sephiroth9611 posts: 342 (12/11/00 7:16:43 pm) Re: At the Wutai Seaport... Saber do you want to stop posting stuff about Jung. ---------- Saber posts: 167 (12/11/00 7:25:52 pm) Re: At the Wutai Seaport... ok then well if i can't post about Jung then why can you and everyone else? I talk about Cid and Reeve and Cosmos and a buncha other people but they don't mind. Basically if no one else talks about eachother this thing goes no where. If i cant talk about Jung then Jung and you and Reeve and Cid and Pres. Shinra and everyone else cant talk about me. Oh and i said 3 sentences with him...god 3 sentences and you all pissy. Edited by: Saber at: 12/11/00 7:28:13 pm ---------- Sephiroth9611 posts: 343 (12/11/00 7:28:54 pm) Re: At the Wutai Seaport... i specifically said that he was at the seaport working on evacuating our guys ---------- Saber posts: 169 (12/11/00 7:31:51 pm) Re: At the Wutai Seaport... no you specifically said "Okay, call them and tell them to head for Base 000, refuel, and head back here to help in the defense. I'm going after Taryn." Key sentence: I'm going after Taryn. ---------- SOLDIER officer 81 posts: 245 (12/11/00 7:37:13 pm) Sephiroth and Jung...... Saber, look, Sephiroth and I have an understanding. He can post stuff with me and I can post stuff with him. I have never posted anything about Reeve, Cid, Pres. Shinra or anyone else, where I have them doing something directly. I don't care if you have been able to post stuff about Reeve or Cid in the past. They don't seem to mind, I do. Please stop doing it. As for the RolePlay doesn't work if you can't post stuff with me in your post, I've been doing that for the last month. Be creative. ---------- ChibiTaryn posts: 218 (12/11/00 9:44:21 pm) ??? Taryn staggers around disoriented and confused. She stops and looks around. The gas has gone, and the fighting has continued. She looks for Sephiroth and Jung, but can't see them anywhere. A ninja lunges in her direction, barely missing her. She pulls her katana and plunges it into his chest. He falls. Taryn struggles to stay up. Breathing heavily, she continues on her way. Pausing again, she catches sight of the Turtle's Paradise. Or rather, what is left of it. The fighting does not appear to be as bad there any more. Looking around again, she heads in the direction of Turtle's Paradise. A woman runs at her. Startled, Taryn attacks, but misses. She tries to focus on the woman, whom she recognises as Godo's mistress. "Come with me! Quickly!!" The woman runs off. Taryn follows, breaking into an uneven run. They run into a small hut, and close the door. "You should be safe here for a while..." ---------- Reeve posts: 385 (12/11/00 10:24:28 pm) Regarding Saber First off, the reason why I give Saber permission to use my character in his posts (and vice versa), is because of his position in Blue Shinra's military. Secondly, I avoid using other players' characters in my posts unless they specifically stated their intended actions in one of three ways: posts on the RP board, instant messages, or email (and I *do* save most of the important IM chats and all of the emails in case I ever have to back myself up). For example, my use of Sephiroth in a recent post (when I murdered Godo), came about largely because Seph9611 suggested (in an IM to me) a one-on-one battle between Seph and Ryoga/Reeve. My use of Seph in this post was also open-ended enough for Seph to further advance the story. I always thought that the whole point of role-playing was that it's supposed to be interactive, that is, each storyteller depends on one another to advance the plot. Although I just think that Saber isn't reading the posts *carefully* enough (ie, Sephiroth is the one looking for Taryn, not Jung), I also think that its rather selfish of Jung to want to be untouchable. This is just my opinion. I would hate to see this plot going to pieces at this point(especially since I'm the one who first declared war). ---------- Saber posts: 175 (12/11/00 10:29:13 pm) Re: Regarding Saber God Reeve why do always have to ruin everything...sigh..im too stubborn to admit that im wrong even tho i did later realize that it was Seph ---------- SOLDIER officer 81 posts: 253 (12/11/00 10:33:35 pm) Re: Regarding Saber Reeve, I agree with your methods of interaction. It was not my intention to make myself untouchable. We have interacted well in the past and that is the model which I would like to follow. ---------- Saber posts: 180 (12/12/00 5:39:11 pm) Re: Regarding Saber Saber and the Turks are standing outside the hut. Taryn has left hours ago. Suddenly some Helo's fly over head.) Saber: Helo's!? Reno: Didn't look like they were armed. Saber: Hmm...No AA they'll slaughter us. Im Surprised Shinra aint her yet. Rude: I can't wait till they do.. Saber: Calm down Rude. (Some Wutai ninja charge at the group. Saber Slams his sword into one and throws his hatchet into another. Rude dodges a throwing star and snaps one ninja's neck. Reno slams his Cattle Prod into the side of one's head. Elena kick trips one ninja and slams a rock on his head.) Saber: Welp..They'll be coming. Reno: We need to re-group. Saber: Yeah..Rude I want you to round up all near the Da-Chao Mountains. Elena go to the pagoda and Reno to the bridge area. I'll check the homes. (The group heads out to the locations Saber wished them to go to.) ---------- President Shinra posts: 344 (12/12/00 7:45:28 pm) An Endless Waltz *Shinra theme cues up, President, Dorothy and Heidegger are watching as the troops ready their weapons as they only a few, short minutes from glory. The Excutioner Command Airship is the size of three Highwinds put together with the artilery of a Proud Clod BETA 7 model. It has thirty propellers to keep it in the air and is made of the strongest mythril in the world.* President: Well, here we are. Wutai, my lord, it has been a while. After today, the plains will be stained red with the blood of Blue Shinra, Wutai and Shinra, Inc. soldiers. I like war...I love it. Dorothy: Yes father, this is sure to be a promising battle. They are more then enough troopers to ensure that. And with the Tanks and such, the air will be full of smoke and the smell of napalm for months. Heidegger: Ma'am, you are a master stradegist. Gya ahahahaha! There is NO plausible way for Blue Shinra to win this war. And they think they will win because they have the Turks. Well, at least we know how they fight...hell, we were even the ones who taught them how to fight. *Behind them, a huge TV screen lights up, and the face of Commander Yoin stares at the executives* Yoin: Mr. President, general Dorothy, admiral Heidegger, we have reached the Wutainese front. Dorothy: Very good, commander. Do you think the Blue Shinra soldiers will be expecting our little suprise we have in store? Yoin: Not likely, ma'am. Most of the soldiers are only red neck, country trash from places like Gongaga and Rocket Town. There is no way they could expect this. Heidegger: Are the troops and Proud Clods ready for battle? Yoin: Of course, admiral. They are ready to fight for the glory of Shinra, Inc. So, should I unlease hell? President: *Nods* Yes, please do so. And, if you find Elena of the Turks...make sure she has a slow, painful death. That will etched into Reeve, or should I say, Ryoga's memory for as long as he lives. Make this a battle a painting that could be shared with by many generations. Yoin: Yes sir, I will. Now, if you will excuse me. Fight valiently *Sheathes his sword* and show no mercy. Good day. President: This should be interesting. Blue Shinra says they are fighting for peace. Don't they realize as long as humans are humans, peace will NEVER be obtained? War is the most beautiful act of nature that one coud ever experience. It has been like that since the dawn of time. It has always and will always be...an endless waltz. Dorothy: Heh...the endless waltz of war. Reeve might say we are warmongers, but at least we show pride in our casulties. Exactly....9,000,000 soldiers have died for us, and we salute them. Their very names are imprinted in our souls...yours and mine, father. President: That you are right about Dorothy...that you are right. *On the ground, Commander Yoin steps out among the thousands upon thousands of soldiers, who are standing in attention.* Yoin: *Unsheathes his sword* As you are aware of, you all are the successors of the many soldiers who died on this very battle field twenty years ago. Of course, you are superior to them in every way. You are avoid of emotion...sympathy..or even compassion...which makes you all the perfect soldiers. Fight valiently and show no mercy. Let's open the gates to hell and show those Blue Shinra rookies how a war should be faught. *With the pagodas of Wutai on the horizon, Yoin turns around, sword held in front of him, and begins to march followed by the world's finest* *End of Scene* ---------- Saber posts: 181 (12/12/00 9:29:48 pm) Re: An Endless Waltz (Saber is standing atop a tree as he speaks to the men.) Saber: Hello men..You're the best of the best from Blue Shinra..Today many of you will walk away victourious but some will not leave this battlefield. For those who stay her for eternity...I Thank you for your trust in myself...On my signal Unleash all Hell...Destroy all those in your way... (Suddenly some Blue Shinra units emerge from the sea. They are the amphibious Proud Clod units. A Few Helo's land behind the thousands of men filled with Moggle's. Saber and the Turks lead the way towards the battle already taking place.) Saber: Were going into the trees. Reno: What? Saber: Guerilla WarFare. Reno: Ah... (Saber signals to the trees and thousands run into them. A A Few Hundred are ordered to stand were they are. Saber pulls out a pistol and aims down the road. Many Soldiers do the same.) Edited by: Saber at: 12/12/00 9:59:08 pm ---------- Reeve posts: 389 (12/12/00 11:07:57 pm) (What's up with the Gundam Wing references?!) The airship Ilfana soars high over the ocean separating the East and West continents; the partition which lies between Shinra and Blue Shinra. Suddenly, an extrememly large aircraft sails beneath them, and lands on the shores of Wutai. Cait Sith: The Executioner! We're too late! It's already left Junon! Ready the Krakka! Cait Sith then jumps off of the lavender Moogle's back, much to the suprise of all those present. Cait Sith: Heh, new modifications. Gotta love modern technology. The cat races across the bridge and onto the hangar deck, where a small crop duster is waiting. Cait Sith: Is our latest weapon all set? Co-Pilot: Yes, sir! All ready for takeoff! The cat and his co-pilot get into the crop duster Krakka, which soon leaves the airship's hangar and heads out toward the Executioner. Flying high above the mighty Shinra craft, beyond the radar's scope (and beyond the suspicions of the Shinra crewmen), Cait Sith opens the crop duster's hatch, releasing five boxes, which subsequently come apart, letting loose a fine green powder. The crop duster flies off to the south. Even from that great distance, Cait Sith can hear the terrible sounds of failing machinery, and the deafining splash of a mighty airship sliding backwards and crashing into the ocean. Cait Sith radios the Ilfana to broadcast the following message to what's left of the Executioner. Cait Sith: President Shinra, I too would like to introduce my latest war machine: The Heidegger Nanobot. Smaller and more precise than the Scarlett Nano, the Heidegger Nano is not nearly as loud, but can still damage any mechanical equipment beyond repair. Like the Scarlett Nano, it self-destructs upon completion of its task, so good luck trying to find any to study. Finally, I might offer a word of advice to you, President Shinra: if you so much as lay a finger on Elena, my wrath upon you shall know no bounds, be it in this life or in another. Thank you and good night. Edited by: Reeve at: 12/13/00 6:44:21 am ---------- Reeve posts: 390 (12/12/00 11:21:21 pm) Raging Storms The floor of the war room is still stained with Godo's blood as Reeve takes note of the proceedings around him. The Executioner has been dismantled and sunk by the beta-version Heidegger Nanos, and the Raging Storms (amphibious Proud Clods), shielded against any of his own nanorobotic weaponry, are in place, along with the thousands of warriors and Moogle Units brought in to Wutai by Blue Shinra. The Provos, Reeve notes, are sticking close to the seaport, though he fears that they may be closer than he thinks. For a moment, his thoughts turn to Elena, and he prays for her safety. Just then, a Blue SOLDIER and a Moogle come though the door, carrying a bound and gagged young ninja. It it Yuffie. ---------- President Shinra posts: 347 (12/12/00 11:33:57 pm) Excuse me.... *Same emotionless and cold expression* But, I was on the Executioner...since it has been dismantled and sunk...am I dead? President Shinra ---------- SOLDIER officer 81 posts: 262 (12/13/00 12:48:28 am) March to the battlefield..... Jung is at his headquarters at the port. Provisional SOLDIER is in the port getting read for the march back to Wutai Village. Jung's scouts are sending information about the battle. Blue Shinra is outnumbered. Jung is starting to think this one might be over soon. He goes outside to talk with the men. "Gentlemen, I'm not going to give a big speech. I am going to say that I am proud to lead you men. Lets go!" Jung leads the men towards the village. In the backround a drummer plays a war march. The sky is clear and the air is warm. Jung can hear the helo's overhead. Jung thinking to himself..... "Come on man. Think about the now. Don't think about the future. The now. Kill or be killed." ---------- Sephiroth9611 posts: 344 (12/13/00 3:13:12 am) The Second Day of Battle (Day 40) The previous day ended with the gas attack and the retreat of Provisional SOLDIER to the Seaport. With the battle about to be renewed in Wutai Village, Sephiroth is out in the forest tracking Taryn. Thinking to himself... "These must be her footprints." He hears some rustling in the brush ahead and runs forward. Taryn has fallen over a log, sprawled on the ground. She is clearly still disoriented from her wounds. "Taryn, are you going to make it?" "Whah? Oh, Seph, where am I?" "We need to get you some medical attention, you're probably suffering from exposure by now." Sephiroth draws Masamune in one hand and puts Taryn over the opposite shoulder. They head off down a path leading to the coast. You got off pretty easily. I'm sure you and your execs. can find a way out of this one.
