Jung and his men have taken cover from the gas. Several of his men are hacking and coughing. Jung is looking out the door of the building. The streets are nearly deserted now. The gas has chased the combatants to shelter. Jung sees Sephiroth running in and our of some houses down the street. Jung calls to him. "Sephiroth, over here!" Sephiroth runs over and comes in the door. "Jung, whats our status?" askes Sephiroth. "Sir, the gas has forced everyone inside. The Blue Shinra are consolidating their hold near the Turtle's Paradise. They also have control of the Pagoda. Wutai Force is disorganized and Godo's lieutenants are starting to fight among themselves. We also have word that Taryn has been injured in the fighting. I don't where she is though?" Sephiroth ponders this. "Jung, get your men to the port. Shinra has announced an offensive. I want our men to regroup at the port and be ready. The Shinra should be here in 20 minutes."j "Yes sir. Where are you going?" "I have some errands to run. Just get our men to the port. That is your task now." "Yes sir." (Suddenly the Turks are walking threw the gas, with masks.) ---------- Cid H posts: 124 (12/10/00 3:28:47 pm) the lifestream barier i have not been present very often lately, perhaps some of you thought i was involed in some type of kiddknapping sceme or something else of teh sort. but i was busy with much more important matters. the constuction of the greatest most complicated defensive system the world has ever seem. with technology so far beyond today's standards. there are 20 undectectable underground pillars around the northern continent. they produce an unbelievably powerful lifestream ray across the sky. when all 20 are on at the same time they create an unbreakable dome across the northern continent. somewhat simular to the one jenova created a few years ago. only this one is much larger and is 545 times sztronger. due to recent happenings, i'm forced to turn the switch on this thing and make all of the outside world isolated from the northern continent. no radios waves are let in and not even teh great gama waves can penetrate the surface. only frequencies that are previously set my come through. there is only one place where people, things, anything can either leave or come in. the location is confidential. with all FORCE members here we can detonate this dome. it also allows us to tract any type of weapon that is inside the dome. so all SOLDIER, prov SOLDIER, wutai soldiers have either been terminated or released to their respected areas. embassies have been completely shut down, all workers have been sent home. forgive AVALANCHE for these actions but we must do what's best for the planet. and at the moment this is what the planet needs. to bluejay: all of your agents on the northern continsent have been found, they have been informed about these plans and are still at their posts doing what they do. to jung, sephiroth, president shinra, and others: do not attempt to attck AVALANCHE, for you have no hope and no reason to for that matter. stay off the greater continent or i'll be forced to declare war on you for threating the life of the planet. you may think my reasoning is childish but you must trust me, what is happening is for the goo dof the planet. AVLANCHE knows things that nobody else knows. we are making actions for the planet. so don't question us or you'll be threating the planet. reeve: if you need my help please contact me. you have my link. i'm allowing it to come through so we can stay in contact. saber: stay with reeve and work with him. you are AVALACHE's best, don't let anybody down. Now, as i flip the switch i say, the day that dome disappears will be the day the planet is safe again. goodbye. A dome around the Northern Continent? Give me a break. Don't just come up with some sort of technological quick fix. Point 1: You have developed technology far beyond today's standards. So Cid, where did you get the scientistes, the engineers, and the money to make this quantum leap forward? I don't think of the Northern Continent as being a center for such technology. It is far more likely that Shinra or Blue Shinra would be able to develop such technology. Point 2: 20 Underground Pillars which are Undetectable. Can you explain to me how these work? Can you tell me how they were constructed? Can you tell me what sort of power system they use? Can you explain any of this in a logical manner that is halfway believable? Point 3: Powerful Lifestream Ray. Well, again I am going to ask you to describe this in a reasonable way. Not just that it exists, but also how it works. Point 4: Dome of energy like Jenova's. Well, Sister Ray penetrated Jenova's dome, so if I can build a larger, more powerful Sister Ray, I can penetrate your dome right? Ok, basically I want to say is that first of all, if you want to build some sort of huge, world changing something, it would be nice if gave some hint, some foreshadowing to that, instead of just saying, "hey guys, i've built this out of nothing. Deal with it." Next, the why have such a barrier? What purpose does it serve except to cut you and your area off from the rest of the role play. It gives you an incredible protection that stifles the game and makes you look like you don't really want to play. Finally, if you are going to have such an important character, that is so powerful, it would be nice if you'ld check at the board on a regular basis and post on a regular basis. Suddenly the Blue Shinra men fire away at the unsuspecting men. In 10 seconds all lay on the ground. Saber and Reno head out to the dead men. Saber gives a thumbs-down to Reno telling him to kill. Ninja: Ugh...No..Please..Don't! (Saber slams his sword into the Ninja's stomach. Reno and Saber lift up Jung's body and begin carrying it towards the hut that the doctor was in.) Doctor: What's a matter? Saber: Nothing we tranqed him. Our scientists have been working day and night to modify and improve the ideals of prof Gast. response 2 and 3: that information is highly confidential. the power of a lifestream ray is almost of that as a huge materia bomb. so you can see why we don't release that kind of information response 4: no one knows what it would take to penetrate the dome, it's never been attempted. ---------- Sephiroth9611 posts: 339 (12/11/00 5:46:52 pm) At the Wutai Seaport... Godo's seaport is still under control due to the large concentration of Wutui Force here for guarding the worker/prisoners. Chekhov is now leading the last remnants of Godo's army. Jung is organizing the men and putting them on transports to head for Mideel. Sephiroth walks up to where Jung is discussing something with a First Class. "Jung," calls Sephiroth. "Yes sir? Anything on Taryn?" "Saber and Reeve have her. She was wounded and they have her in some field hospital under heavy guard." "Are you going after her?" "Yes, it's your responsibility to get the men out of here. Where are the helos?" "They fired some shots and then got out after the gas was dropped. They are on the ground north of here." "Okay, call them and tell them to head for Base 000, refuel, and head back here to help in the defense. I'm going after Taryn." "Good luck sir."
