Agent Report: We have successfully hacked into Tseng's private files and reports in an ancient Shinra database, although without your orders. Expense reports indicate that he has purchased large amounts of materia and material from Mako fountains across the world. They also show that he used an artifical materia compressor at around the same time. This may indicate that he has been creating fake Huge Materia with near-indentical properties for some time now. We would need further investatgation to prove that. It is unknown how many of these replicas are circulating. Also, we have found files and blueprints of many of Shinra Weapons Development projects. This includes, disturbingly, plans on the Materia Bomb. His private accounts show that he has safehouses in Costa del Sol, Wutai, and Bone Village. It is likely that the Huge Materia and the Wutite materia thief are being held at one of these locations. Link terminated. (Sorry, if you don't like me using this format. Soldier spread out into other doors, while Elena opens a closet. Out falls Yuffie, tied and bound, bruised and bleeding.) Elena: She's hurt! Get a doctor! Yuffie: (whispers something inaudible) Elena: What was that? Yuffie: He..he's got...Huge..Materia....... Elena: We know. Yuffie: (trying to sit up suddenly, but strains her back) He's going to kill....! Elena: Relax! Yuffie: Traitors... Soldiers: All clear! Tseng's not in here! Elena: Get that camera outta here! Get her some help! (video fades to static) Post Update: Nexus research division has found a way to verify the authenicity of the Huge Materia. A genuine Huge Materia is composed of a single piece of materia, but the fakes are made up of dozens of chunks fused together, and have many hidden inner facets. By shining a laser into the crystal, the light should emerge from all sides equally if the materia is real, since the inside is uniform. If it is a fake, only a small part will be illuminated because the light will be blocked by the facets. Simple surface scrapings as we have tested for in the past will not work, since both the real and fake materia have identical outer surfaces. The Nexus urges Reeve to test the Cosmo Canyon Huge Materia immediatly. Link terminated. ---------- Reeve posts: 246 (11/13/00 9:50:45 pm) A Message From President Reeve My Fellow Citizens, Our leads indicate that the prime suspect involved in the kidnapping of Yuffie and the theft of the Huge Materias is none other than Tseng, once of the Shinra Turks. Yuffie Kisaragi was recently found in Costa Del Sol in one of Tseng's storehouses. The Huge Materias that were retrieved by the BlueJay Nexus have been re-analyzed by both Blue Shinra and Nexus scientists and are now completely verified as being fakes. Similar fake Huge Materias were found in Costa Del Sol, as well as Bone Village. A large stock of mastered Materias, including many originally belonging to AVALANCHE, were found in Tseng's storehouse in Wutai. As for the "real" Huge Materias, they are still missing. (Elena runs into the room and whispers something in Reeve's ear. Reeve bites his lip. Elena promptly leaves) Hold on... it has just come to my attention that Yuffie has indicated that Tseng is out to "kill traitors", though we are still somewhat unsure of what she means by that. For one thing, we know not who's side Tseng is on. In addition, we of Blue Shinra would like to extend a formal apology to the BlueJay Nexus in regards to our suspicions regarding the Huge Materia. It is just that, with Nexus agents working from inside Blue Shinra, not to mention the strange request that only Nanaki was to transport the Huge Materias, we had reason to believe that our working relationship with Nexus was being tested. BlueJay, if you're listening, I have no hard feelings toward either you or the Nexus, and I believed in your innocence; however, these incidents led me to point you out as a suspect. Again, I hope in the future that our relationship with each other will be a harmonious one. He is of AVALANCHE, the group of terrorists(patriots) that set out to crush the evil in the world. We felt, the Huge Materias were in better hands with him, than anyone else, including the Nexus itself. By the way, I also have an apology. I had no idea that only letting Nanaki get the materia is what led us to being suspects. Nanaki had no affiliation with us. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. By the way, how did you get your hands on the fake Huge Materia anyway? Is he affiliated with you? ---------- Reeve posts: 254 (11/14/00 7:01:28 pm) To BlueJay, Although we have been working extensively with the people of Cosmo Canyon, Nanaki has no direct affiliation with Blue Shinra. I got access to the Huge Materia mostly thanks to Elder Bughe, but even so I still had to go through Nanaki and get his final approval. I know that Cid was planning on asking Nanaki to join the new AVALANCHE, but I don't know if he took Cid up on his offer. Hope this answers your questions.
