Baricade Sector 345654 now! ---------- Sephiroth9611 posts: 199 (11/12/00 10:13:43 am) Traveling Sephiroth, still slightly disoriented from his experiences, emerges from the dense jungle into a clearing not far from where Mideel once was. There are a group of huts belonging to some of the refugees from Mideel. A villager comes out to talk. "Greetings friend, I am Benny." "Where is this place?" "We are refugees from Mideel, this our new village. After seeing the power of the lifestream destroy our village and save the planet, we are here to worship the lifestream. Friend, you look famished, why don't you join us in our dining hall for our supper?' "Okay." Benny leads Sephiroth off to the communal dining hall. Benny and Sephiroth get into line. "Where are you from?" asks Benny. "I don't remember, all I remember is crawling out of that flood of lifestream, and then walking through the jungle to get here." Benny looks astonished, "You came from the lifestream?" "Yes." Others in the hall who overhear this also look astonished. Sephiroth can hear murmurings of disbelief mixed with awe and excitement. He runs deep into the forest and comes upon a clearing. In the clearing is a newly-built village. Many villagers can be seen, but one figure in particular catches the Chocobo's shiny eyes: A tall figure with long grey hair, dressed entirly in black. The Choco Sith unit focuses on the figure.* *Meanwhile, Reeve has been pouring over Hojo's personal journals in the Shinra Mansion basement. Cosmo has currently occupied the Mideel area so I can't send the Turks or Cait Sith down there at the moment to look into the matter. He now shares a hut with Benny and his wife, Laka. During the day, he goes out into the clearing and works with the other villagers, weeding the crops, and foraging in the surrounding jungle. Sephiroth has shed the clothes he wore when he arrived for simple village clothes. He watches and follows as Sephiroth and a group of villagers make their way to an old growth forest, just east of the new settlement, to collect wood to build more homes. With his keen eyesight, Sephiroth sees the Chocobo in the forest and becons for it to come closer. The Chocobo does, and Sephiroth gives him some greens and pats him on the head. Choco Sith G: Wark! Wark! The Chocobo then runs off, this time toward the Lifestream fountain. Wedged in between two rocks near the fountain, the Chocobo sees a long, slender, and shiny object. The Chocobo hesitates, and then carefully pulls the Masamune sword free with his beak. Wutai Situation: Undercover Agents have reported strange meetings near the pagoda that has been envolving Cosmos and a man with a pillowcase over his head. Be Advised Wutai Situation is very threatening. Jung thinking to himself..... "That man is Sephiroth, I know it." "Should I try to talk to him? Let him know who and what he was, or is??? What if I trigger something?" "Sephiroth was lost years ago wasn't he?" A man comes near Jung and starts to mumble a prayer to the Lifestream. Jung nods his head, as if praying silently, and moves into the jungle to keep his watch over Sephiroth. "It has to be him!" Jung moves from the jungle and approaches Sephiroth. Sephiroth is weeding a plot of land with a group of old women. "Sephiroth, we have to talk!" The women look at Sephiroth, startled. "Do you mind not walking on those, they just sprouted." Jung looks at Sephiroth in a disgusted manner. "Sir, you don't belong here. Don't you remember? Where have you been? You are Sephiroth!!" "Sephiroth, Sephiroth? Who is this Sephiroth you keep babbling about? I have work to do here, do you mind?" Jung steps up face to face with Sephiroth. "Sir, you are Sephiroth. If you are not, then who are you? Where do you come from? Answer me now!!" "I don't know, and I don't really care! Be gone!" Jung to himself..... "My God, could I have been wrong?" Sephiroth turns away, apologizes to the women and goes on weeding his plot..... Sephiroth returns to the village later in the afternoon still upset by the visit from the strange man. Not only was he annoying, but he also brought up some questions Sephiroth had been trying to set aside. "Who am I? Where did I come from? Why was I in the lifestream?" Sephiroth leaves the hut and takes a stroll out into the clearing. The white chocobo that has been around lately runs up. "Wark, wark." Sephiroth pats it, and it starts to follow him as he walks. Before he knows it, Sephiroth is in the jungle. The white chocobo is looking at him. "You are a funny little thing. Why are you looking at me like that?" The chocobo walks forward a little and looks back, then walks forward a little farther, then again looks back, waiting for Sephiroth to follow. "I suppose you want me for follow you? Jung thinking to himself..... "I can't believe it isn't Sephiroth!" Jung hears Sephiroth talking the chocobo. Jung to himself..... The jungle is very dense, requiring Sephiroth to climb and crawl at times. He had lost sight of the chocobo for a few minutes before it had come back to get him. They walk on for another ten minutes. Sephiroth has this feeling that he is being followed. He looks over his shoulder in paranoia. He brings his head back around to find that the chocobo has stopped in front of a rocky outcropping. Between the rocks there is an opening large enough for the chocobo to fit into, but too small for Sephiroth. The chocobo is looking at the cave then back at Sephiroth. "Wark!" "Is there something in there for me?" "Wark!" Sephiroth kneels down and reaches into the opening. All his hand finds is rocks and some bones; he reaches as far as his arm will go. Finally, his hand closes around something man made. Slowly, Sephiroth pulls out a long sword, almost as long as he is tall. It is curved, and has round jewels in slots along it. Sephiroth looks down at it in awe, something begins to stir in the recesses of his mind. He holds the blade up to his face, gazing at the tempered steel. "I knew it, I knew it was you!" Jung wanders through the jungle following Sephiroth and the chocobo. The jungle is dense and the terrain is rough. Jung thinking to himself..... "Where are they going?" After about half an hour, the chocobo and Sephiroth come to stop near a rocky outcropping. Jung takes cover in some tall grass. Sephiroth says something to the chocobo. Then he kneels down and sticks his arm into a small cave. Then, Sephiroth brings his arm back out. Jung sees it immediately. It is as long as a man and shimers in the sunlight. There is only one sword like it, and there is only one man who can posess it. Jung leaps to his feet and starts running at Sephiroth! "I knew it, I knew it was you!!"
