As you may have heard, Shinra has been split into two factions. To differentiate between President Shinra's company and my own, we are calling ourselves the Blue Shinra Utility Company. In conjunction with the Turk Alliance and a select group of Shinra's military forces, Blue Shinra will work to ensure the well-being of the Planet while providing you with the finest electricity at the lowest rates. I am here because I had an epiphany while I (or rather, Cait Sith) was in the Temple of the Ancients. I wanted to do something meaningful with my life. Yes, depite all of the power and benefits Shinra offered to me, I was not happy. Now, thanks to Cloud, Aeris, and all my other new friends, I have seen the light. I am not here to rule the world, but I am here to change it. Thus, the Blue Shinra Utility Company. "I am... pleased to hear of my former co-executives' well being (shiver noticibly runs down Reeve's back). And if you think I am not ready for war, then think again. This Proud Clod you see behind me, right now the only one of its kind in the world, was transported to me by my allies at the Gold Saucer Battle Arena. The engineers of Cosmo Canyon are refitting the Proud Clod with solar cells as we speak, not to mention fixing the obvious flaws in Scarlett's design. And, lest we forget, my dear President Shinra, I was the one in charge of the fledgling Cybernetics board at Shinra, and head of the Sith Project. So if you want to fight with clones, then I'll have no choice but to unleash my Moogle Army. "We have recieved notice from our troops in the Gold Saucer area that Tseng has fully recovered and is en route to Nibelheim. We are also expecting to make contact with Captain Highwind very shortly. We are still searching for the rest of AVALANCHE, in hopes that they will join us. Soon, you and the rest of the old Shinra will see us as a force to be reckoned with. Scarlett: "And those design flaws you spoke of...have you ever heard the phrase, 'fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me'? Well, I saw what happened to the original Proud Clod and I knew all the problems, so I perfected the design. This new design even has double-thick armor, LARGE gattling guns that shoot Mythril capped bullets and much more! Kya hahahahaha!" President: "I wouldn't try getting into Midgar to go through files either. Since Shinra, Inc. doesn't have complete control of the Great and Western continents, I moved all the guards that were currently in the western continent to Junon, Midgar and the various missle and military bases. Remember Reeve, I'm not just an old codger, but I'm also the most powerful man in the world. Power-hungry is such a bad way to say 'megalomaniac' as well. Don't think any of you who oppose me can kill them as they enter. You won't find them! Don't think you can kill someone who has been absent in the last few days, because as far as you know, my actual agents have been there the whole time! Resources have been restored and supply lines have been made. A strike on former Shinra Base 404A is now possible in retrieving Red. Any attempts that Shinra make to take Red themselves will be destroyed before completed. Video uploaded: Two men and a woman are running through the night. Woman: Well, the Nexus probably knows we haven't reported in by now. Man 1: Urgh! Where is that chopper. Shinra said it would be here by now! A crazy wherring noise fills the air. Suddenly, a flaming chopper comes flying wildly over a nearby hill. It crashes not twenty feet from the small group. Then the Redwing swoops over, and hovers 30 feet in the air. BlueJay: You mean this chopper? Fools! Did you think we didn't know. You will die like your friend back at base. The group flees for cover, as the Redwing persues. Finally, the deadly lasers are fired at the targets, and the videa ends. Corel aftermath: Raid was successful. Enemy reactor destroyed. Unfortunately, Shinra was present at the time. All possible alliances with Shinra are probably shattered now. Also, a small group of Reeve's division of SOLDIER was present. No casualties were reported from his side. President Shinra and Execs.: Thousands of Proud Clod units? Hyperbole if I ever heard it. Word is from some of my allies in Kalm are that Shinra troops are busy scouring the continent, looking for materia to run your precious Prod Clods. And improvements? How lovely Scarlett, but is your beta-version Proud Clod... waterproof? You may have heard an explosion recently in Junon Harbor. That was my newly-modified amphibious Proud Clod unit, taking out the underwater reactor. We have been pleased with this prototype's sucess and more units are well on their way. And yes, waterproofing isn't the only new-and-improved feature on my Proud Clods (or, rather, Raging Storms); you will discover more in future encounters! (If you ask how I'm funding all of this wonderful development, let's just say, thank you President Shinra for the stock options I enjoyed while I was at Shinra!!!) Yes, you moved a bunch of guards back to Midgar and Junon, the ones that didn't defect to Blue Shinra, anyway. By the way, here's today's fortune: A Moogle is a Moogle in name only... I fully appreciate the news about Nanaki, and fortunately, we were able to take action in time. The SOLDIERs present during the raid are escorting Nanaki to Cosmo Canyon. A messenger has been sent to Rocket Town to give a update on all of the current news to Shera for when Cid returns. Wutai has been quiet lately. Perhaps too quiet. We fear an attack on Cosmo Canyon by Wutai ninja seeking to steal the Huge Materia. I have sent out units to patrol the perimeter of the canyon. Also, Reno has not yet returned from Wutai. Things are getting tense. Grosspanzers were lined everywhere at the bottom of the mountain. Aero Combatants, Heli Gunners, and choppers were buzzing around the old reactor. The old man walked slowly to a transmitter. "Why are you doing this?" he asked. "Your crimes of the past old man. You helped AVALANCHE, you shut down the reactor, and you blockaded the huge materia," Commanded Ferel said from Base 404, 3 miles away. Yes, three Shinra bases were 3 miles away from Ft. Condor. One to the north, one to the southwest, and a last one to the southeast, forming a perfect triangle. The Grosspanzers loaded, and the helicopters armed, the men of the fort ran inside for cover from the oncoming onslaught. Suddenly, this picture changes. We now see a dark room. A figure is sitting at a desk in the middle. He asks, "Are the charges set?" It was complete and clear, "Yes sir!" The man pushes a button. A voice sounds throughout the room. "Countdown, 3, 2, 1......................" The Shinra's bases shimmer with light as a heavy boom fills the airwaves. Finally, we see the cause. Three mushroom clouds fly high into the sky. The shockwaves head toward the mountain. The army flying a running around it is vaporized. The mountain however, protects everyone within. When the dust settles, the reaqctor at the top is gone, and the army around it is leveled. Once again, we see the man in the dark room. His head comes out from the shadows, but is shielded by a blue helmet. "Hello," he says. "I would like to introduce you to my new weapon of "creation". Those explosions were created by lifestream bombs. The enviroment around the mountain will be regrown overnight. The message is this. Don't try to kill innocent civilians again." Hello all, I have been very busy lately. a few thing s have come up here in Wutai that i have been taking care of. i choose not to share those with you at this moment, but i assure you, Wutai currently remains nuetral and by no means plans on taking sides here. But I warn you all, that if anybody trys to make a military advance on Wutai, they will be sorry. I would like to personally talk to presindent shinra and reeve in private sometime in the near future (possibly via e-mail?). i believe we have much to talk about. We at Blue Shinra were hoping for news very much like you have sent us. We have no plans to attack Wutai without them making a move first (Shinra on the other hand, well, that's personal ). I am also concerned about Reno's well-being. As you may know, he never returned from Wutai. Elena was there with him and is now back here with us in Nibelheim; however, she has been silent on the subject of Reno. I know she never got to talk to you but perhaps Reno did?
